The house was absolutely beautiful with stunning period features and modern details. The ensuite and bathroom were gorgeous, perfect for a relaxing bath. The little garden was great for breakfast in the sun. Parking right outside was convenient with little ones. The keypad entry was much easier than keeping track of keys. The house was welcoming with essentials provided and even a bottle of Prosecco. The location was near the town center with different walking routes available. Despite the snow, the house was cozy and warm. The property was stunning, spacious, and super clean. The on-street parking was quiet and permit holders only. The house was a 5-minute walk from the center but in a quiet location. The interior design and facilities were excellent with thoughtful extra touches. The hosts were exceptionally accommodating. Remote control included using free Wi-Fi in rooms, off-site car park, dryer, electric kettle, cookware/ kitchen utensils. I highly recommend this property.

This holiday home, located just 40 km from the lively Blackpool Winter Gardens Theatre, was a delightful find for our family. The cozy and spacious living space provided ample room for us to relax after our adventures in the Lake District. The location was perfect, with easy access to nearby attractions and a quiet neighborhood. We especially loved the thoughtful touches and cleanliness of the house, making us feel right at home. Highly recommended for families looking for a comfortable and convenient getaway.
For dads, it would be great to have a small play area for the children.

The Period Retreat for 6 was perfect for our family. the spacious sitting room, family table, and kitchen provided plenty of space for us to relax in the evenings. We especially enjoyed the comfortable and big bath. the location, just a stone's throw away from the train station, made it convenient for us to explore the city. There was also ample parking available outside using the provided parking pass. the owners were very helpful and even left us tea, coffee, milk, and a bottle of prosecco. It was definitely great value for money compared to a hotel. Thank you!
Nothing could have been better! .

We had an amazing stay at this beautiful home. the hosts provided clear check-in instructions and checked in with us to make sure everything was okay. the location was perfect for our visit to the Lancaster office. the house itself was stunning, with period features and modern details that made it both comfortable and stylish. the ensuite and bathroom were gorgeous, and we loved having a relaxing bath while watching TV. the bedrooms were perfect for our children, who settled down and slept through the night. the little garden was a great spot for breakfast in the sunshine. And having parking right outside was convenient, especially with little ones. the keypad entry was also a nice touch, making it easier to come and go without worrying about keys.
We felt extremely welcome during our stay and the hosts were very accommodating. They were even willing to let us keep an emergency wedding cake in the house.

This house is stunning, spacious, and super clean. The information provided doesn’t do it justice. 5 of us stayed and never felt crowded. The on-street parking was quiet and permit holders only. Just a 5-minute walk from the center, yet a quiet location. The house is comfortable and has everything you need for a home from home holiday. The location is perfect, close to transport amenities and a lovely woodland nature reserve. The house's decor is modern and in keeping with its style. The owners were very helpful and even left us tea, coffee, milk, and a bottle of prosecco. Excellent value for money compared to a hotel.
Would definitely recommend this hotel.

The house was very comfortable and had everything we needed for a home from home holiday. the location was perfect, with easy access to transport amenities and a short walk to the town center. We also appreciated the lovely woodland nature reserve and canal nearby, offering the best of both worlds. the house provided ample space, including a spacious sitting room, family table, and kitchen, perfect for relaxing after our daily activities.
Although it was stated that there were two parking spaces for the property, they weren't clearly marked out. When we arrived, the spaces in front or close to the property were taken, and we had to park a few houses away, worrying that we were potentially occupying someone else's space.

What a delightful surprise my stay at Period Retreat For 6, Explore The Lake District turned out to be! The hosts went above and beyond to welcome me with essentials like tea, coffee, and even a bottle of Prosecco. The house itself was stunning, with a perfect blend of period charm and modern comforts. I especially loved the beautiful ensuite and bathroom where I indulged in a relaxing bath while watching TV. The location was fantastic, close to the town center and offering different scenic routes to explore. Despite the snow, the house was warm and cozy.
The only minor setback I encountered was a bit of trouble with the electronic keypad, but thankfully the owner quickly came to my assistance. However, these small drawbacks did not overshadow the overall beauty and comfort of this home.

It was so spacious and clean, we never felt crowded. The extra little touches were so nice, like having tea, coffee, and even a bottle of Prosecco waiting for us. The location was perfect, just a 5-minute walk to the town center and close to so many cool places. We even went to the Blackpool Winter Gardens Theatre, which was only 40 km away. I would totally recommend this place to any party-loving teenagers like us!
The only thing that could have made our stay even better would be if there was a party room or a cool hangout spot in the house. We had so much fun exploring the Lake District and going out, but it would have been awesome to have a dedicated space in the house for some late-night partying with our friends.

This house exceeded our expectations in terms of space, cleanliness, and attention to detail. The on-street parking was never an issue, and the location was both quiet and conveniently close to the center. The hosts were incredibly helpful and accommodating, even allowing us to keep an emergency wedding cake in the property. a stunning home and highly recommended.
The only minor suggestion would be to have a bit more cutlery and a couple more mirrors in the bedrooms, perhaps even a full-length mirror. However, these were really minor things and didn't detract from our overall enjoyment of this beautiful home.

The ensuite and bathroom were particularly stunning, and I thoroughly enjoyed relaxing in a bath while watching TV. The property also had a little garden, which was lovely for enjoying breakfast in the sunshine. Another major advantage was the convenient parking right outside, which was a huge plus when traveling with young children. I appreciated the use of a keypad for the front door, as it made it much easier and safer than having to keep track of keys.
One minor issue was the parking situation. Although it was stated that there were two parking spaces available, they weren't clearly marked out and were already taken when we arrived.
